My feeling for heavy-duty transport comes over many years even decades. Great grandfather, Petrus Johannes de Jongh started a bus service, De Jongh’s Bus Services in 1948 between Pretoria North and Pretoria CBD.
However, upon his retirement, he decided to sell the bus service where my grandfather, Albert de Jongh carried on with the engineering part of the business at the same premises known as De Jongh’s Engineering. At a later stage, they became a Leyland agency and sold Leyland Commercial Vehicles. Leyland withdrew from South Africa that’s when my grandfather opened a Toyota dealership on the same premises and this business was known as De Jongh’s Toyota.
My father, Andre de Jongh joined his father in the business in 1976. 1984 my grandfather, Albert de Jongh retired and sold the business to Imperial Trucks where my father worked for them as Workshop Manager and Sales Manager for 25 years.
In 2007 I decided to change my destiny and resigned from McCarthy Toyota and followed in my father and Grandfather’s footsteps and started Albert de Jongh Trucks.
Soon I knew that the selling of heavy-duty commercial vehicles was in my blood and my business Albert de Jongh Trucks specialized in the trading of heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
Albert de Jongh Trucks have been in business for the last 14 years and we are still going strong loving every minute of trading with heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
I enjoyed to be there looking at the nice car's and trucks
